Our BDC manager oversees the business development center (BDC) at Smith Automotive Group.
The BDC department is responsible for setting appointments with potential buyers to meet with the sales representatives at the dealership.
Staff members, known as development business representatives (DBR) or business development representatives (BDR), make these calls.
As the BDC manager, your duties include hiring and training these representatives, setting quotas and appointment goals, driving sales, and tracking results.
Smith Automotive Group is looking for a qualified BDC Manager to oversee our business development center.
In this position, you are responsible for hiring and training the representatives who contact potential buyers with the goal of scheduling appointments for the buyers to meet with our sales representatives.
Your team will receive inbound and make outbound calls based on leads generated by our marketing efforts.
You may also work with our internet sales team to increase traffic on our website.
Our ideal candidate has a business degree and extensive experience in sales and digital marketing.
Ensures all internet leads are followed up with until completion of sale.
Exhibit ethical behavior, provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers.
Answer customer inquiries and calls when necessary.
Follows up with aged sales leads.
Manage and track all leads.
Manage all incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails.
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales forecasts.
Work closely with executive and department managers to develop appointment setting strategies.
Handle our customer contacts through CRM, service, follow-up and lead generations.
Schedule sales/service appointments and reschedule no-show customers.
Provide training and ongoing support to the business development representatives to help the team understand and achieve the dealership's goals.
Learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations.
Answer customer internet inquires by both email and phone.
Manage day-to-day business of the business development center.
Achieve the sales and customer satisfaction objective set by management.
Requirements:
Hire and train BDC representatives.
Set goals and quotas for inbound and outbound calling and conversions.
Analyze current sales data and look for areas to improve.
Oversee our digital marketing campaign.
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field Automotive sales and outbound calling experience Management and leadership skills Strong communication skills Competitive and self-motivated attitude that thrives on goals.
Team player with positive energy and an eagerness to improve.
Previous management experience preferred; Automotive industry experience preferred; Ready to waste no time on learning new product in's and out's, eager to improve; Ability to manage a high volume of inbound and outbound sales and service call volume, internet leads and call lists; Outgoing personality, ability to influence customers to schedule appointments; Strong computer knowledge; Phenomenal communication skills with customers and team members; Experience in previous automotive dealerships, with 5 years' experience specifically with BDC/internet; Extremely customer service oriented; Must have strong computer skills; Enthusiastic personality; Must be Dependable and Reliable.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
