Summary:
Responsible for managing infrastructure automation engineers to support IT infrastructure and DevOps scrum teams.
Assist with projects, initiatives and opportunities to increase IT efficiencies.
Establishes, tracks and reports on key performance metrics to demonstrate the overall performance of the team on a regular basis.
MAJOR
Responsibilities:
Identify automation technology needs and solutions.
Assess tactical and strategic changes and find areas for improvement.
Manage automation tools through the application life cycle process.
Document standard process and procedures.
Manage support contracts and agreements for related technical software.
Collaborate with senior leadership to set and monitor quarterly goals.
Develop, identify, and maintain automation performance metrics.
Manage key vendor relationships and engage in negotiations.
Collaborate with IS and business units in cross-team initiatives and projects.
Oversee project and resource management.
Research, identify, and evaluate new and emerging infrastructure automation technologies for use at Medline.
Management responsibilities include:
Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR typically manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution or office environmentsDay-to-day operations of a group of employees.
May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact;Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops.
Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.
Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.
Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Experience with Linux Systems.
Experience communicating with internal and external business partners and cross functional teams at various levels.
Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Experience accomplishing tasks in an optimum order based on time, importance or other criteria.
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Office Suite.
Position requires travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTSExperience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
Salary:
$25.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
