Job Overview:
The Military Department Specialist-Merchandising position is
responsible to support numerous centralized Merchandising team functions which
support the primary customer service department objective. It is expected that
all tasks will directly impact military merchandising support or overall
military department sales support in order to satisfy the vendor/customer
requirements and department objectives. This position is responsible for
specific vendor/customers within the Merchandising team in achievement of
department objectives set by Director- Military Merchandising and
Operations.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Assembles vendor reports.
Maintains price changes.
Coordinates promotions.
Maintains and tracks items.
Communicates daily with vendor/customer and broker
representatives.
Supports customers with specific administrative
requirements.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years closely related work experience.
Experience with Supervalu online buying systems and/or
general knowledge of the Military Resale System a plus.
Proficiency in mathematical computations is essential.
PC proficiency required -Excel, Word and Outlook. Access and
PowerPoint helpful.
Possess strong attention to detail; and strong verbal and
written communication skills are required.
