Warehouse Lead

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting the leadership team in overseeing warehouse operations.
The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
Effectively and accurately wave planning workload, and tracking appropriately.
Assisting in maintaining a safe work environment for plant team members, including: retraining team members and supporting a safety culture through team meetings and activities to enhance safety awareness.
Ensuring timely and accurate order receipt and shipment.
As a member of the DC leadership team this position will be responsible in ensuring accuracy of the inventory.
Supervising branch team members in various areas (i.e. shipping, replenishment, receiving, dock, etc.).
Assisting with picking, checking, loading and processing inbound and outbound product.
Effectively communicating with plant management regarding daily operations.
Ensure applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs) are met.
Maintain quality control - Ensure no damaged product is shipped or damaged raw material is receive
Communicate with operators/crew from other shifts to satisfactorily complete job tasks as required.
Serve as Material Handler back-up for warehouse personnel when needed.
Provide on-the-job training to new employees and temporary associates as needed.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
1 - 3 years' experience in all warehouse operations, practices, inventory management and leadership.
Candidate must have a high sense of urgency and strong customer service skills.
Ability to effectively speak before groups of team members and customers of Medline.
Have the ability to multi task in a fast pace work environment.
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must demonstrate the ability to systematically organize work tasks.
Motivate direct reports to meet designated goals and targets.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
Proficient in SAP, AS400, & Catalyst
Physical Requirements: Move product, supplies, and boxes up to and over 50 lbs. Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity-near and far, depth perception, field of vision, color vision.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
