Forklift Operator

What you will do:

Primary responsibility is to deliver productive material in an effort to
support the assembly process. Under the direction of the Supervisor, this
employee will maintain adequate levels of inventory to sustain the assembly
How you will do it:

Reviews Daily customer orders
as it pertains to material delivery from the Warehouse
Maintains adequate inventory
levels (line-side) in an effort to support the assembly process
Identifies overstocking, material
shortages, discrepant material, scrap, quality concerns etc.
Contacts appropriate members
of Management in an effort to consciously identify potential problems/ concerns
as it pertains to their specific job requirements
Enters data into Material
Database via computer, scanner or other electronic devices as required
Operates machinery pertinent
to completing the tasks at hand. i. e. Forklift, Tugger, Pallet Jack
Suggests continual
Improvement opportunities while performing various tasks within the plant.
Performs audits, visual
inspections, verifications, cycle counts as required by management
Must be willing to accept and
receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to material handling
Detects and reports defective
materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Maintains the work area and
equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety
Other duties as required

What we look for:

HS Diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months or more related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add,
subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions and decimals.
Strong Customer Service skills required; very good communications skills.
Hold a Forklift Certification, or obtain a certification within a two time
allowance of testing all within the first month of starting position.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
